Michael Hapke

Michael Hapke, a graduate of Carleton University, brings decades of leadership and innovation to his role as President and CEO of Advanced MIC. Spending 18 years at TD Canada Trust, and rising to a senior executive he honed his expertise in financial services and strategic growth. He later served as CEO of Mortgage Brokers Ottawa, transforming it into one of the largest and most respected mortgage brokerages in Canada. Michael’s vision and dedication to excellence drive the success and growth of Advanced MIC, where he continues to deliver exceptional results for clients and stakeholders.

Vice President of Finance

Zachary Crosby

Zachary Crosby joined the Advanced Group of Companies in 2024 in the role of Vice President, Finance. Zachary began his career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he earned his CPA designation while specializing in audit and tax. He has since excelled in various industries, including property management, construction, and consumer-packaged-goods, notably raising over $160M for Flow Beverage Corp. and taking the company public in 2021. Zachary’s commitment to accountability and transparency in reporting fosters trust and strengthens relationships with our stakeholders and partners.

Director of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer

Isabelle Anderson

Isabelle Anderson holds a B.Com from the University of Ottawa and began her career as a Senior Investment Manager Representative in Toronto. After six years, she transitioned to a private mortgage lender in Ottawa, where she gained extensive experience in mortgage operations and investor relations. Isabelle joined the Advanced Group of Companies in 2018 as a Dealing Representative and Compliance Officer of Advanced Capital Corporation. She transitioned to the role of Chief Compliance Officer of Advanced Capital Corporation in 2019.

Director of Lending and Investor Relations

Jennifer Anderson

Jennifer Anderson joined the leadership team at the Advanced Group of Companies in 2008, bringing extensive experience from her previous role as a Financial Advisor with the Bank of Nova Scotia. She manages responsibilities across multiple companies, including AAL, AMIC, and ACC, where her work encompasses mortgage underwriting and administration, investor, borrower and broker relations, as well as regulatory compliance for all three companies.

Director of Strategic Growth and Business Development

Sean Reid

Sean Reid, a graduate of the University of Ottawa, brings experience in banking and business development to his role with Advanced MIC and the Advanced Group of Companies. Sean plays a pivotal role in driving strategic business plans and growth, supporting the mortgage broker community, and fostering relationships with investors. Beyond his professional achievements, Sean has dedicated over 25 seasons as an official in the Ontario Hockey League, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and leadership in hockey. An active member of the HEO hockey community, Sean serves as an official mentor and coach, sharing his expertise and passion for the game with aspiring officials and players alike.

Director, Regulatory Compliance

Amber Kehoe

Amber Kehoe brings over a decade of experience in financial services, with a strong background in direct managed accounts, advisor relations, and regulatory compliance. Her expertise spans KYC/KYP/suitability reviews, client trading and reconciliation and investor communications, making her a valuable asset to the Advanced Capital Corporation team. As Director of Regulatory Compliance, Amber works closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to strengthen and maintain the firm’s compliance framework. Together, they oversee AML audits, develop and manage training programs, maintain regulatory documentation, and ensure alignment with FSRA, OSC, and FINTRAC standards. Amber also supports shareholder relations, helping respond to investor inquiries and ensuring communications meet all compliance requirements. Her collaborative approach and attention to detail help ensure Advanced Capital Corporation continues to meet its regulatory obligations while fostering transparency and trust across the organization.

DIRECTOR, MORTGAGE ADMINISTRATION

Phillip Smith

Phillip Smith is a versatile and accomplished professional with certified expertise in credit risk management, mortgage brokering, and real estate. He holds the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation from the Credit Institute of Canada, demonstrating advanced proficiency in financial analysis, credit law, collections, and strategic decision-making. Phillip is also licensed as a mortgage broker and real estate agent in Ontario, and holds a diploma in Business Administration with a specialization in Information Systems. Phillip currently serves as Director of Mortgage Administration at Advanced Mortgage Investment Corporation, where he oversees mortgage operations, and strategic process improvements. His career spans leadership roles in financial services, municipal governance, and real estate, including serving as a Councillor in Central Frontenac. His contributions to housing and recreation initiatives reflect a deep commitment to community development. Outside of work, Phillip is actively involved in cowboy mounted shooting and serves as secretary of the Ontario Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. He enjoys trail riding with his horses, spending time with his dogs, and cherishing family moments.
